As a rapidly growing company dedicated to excellence in the CPG food industry, we are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager at Insignia International’s tortilla plant in Moundridge, Kansas. This person will oversee the management of warehouse operations, drive continuous improvement and provide analytical data to the plant's management team.
Direct Report: This position is evaluated by and officially reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, equipment maintenance, inventory control, etc.
- Weekly duties include taking out all trash, cleaning restrooms and the office area.
- Responsible for the warehouse as it pertains to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
- Responsible for notifying management when warehouse equipment needs serviced or repaired.
- Coordinate with other employees to facilitate transfers, shortages, overages, cuts, on inbound and outgoing deliveries.
- Complete necessary Activity Reports for management, such inventory management and turning in inventory totals every Monday.
- Inventory Control, incoming, and outgoing orders within the company requests
- Solve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection.
- Ensure products are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
- Oversee the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
- Perform other related duties as directed by management.
- Review and verify warehouse generated records, inspections and communications.
Other Requirements:
- 1-3 years previous supervisor experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
- Experience using warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift, pallet wrapper)
- Effective communication skills
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons
- Adequate computer skills with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
- Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
Back-up Personnel
- The Plant Manager shall serve as a qualified backup for the Warehouse Manager in the even the Warehouse Manager is absent.
